IT TAKES

teamwork

TO MAKE THE

dream work

At Grace, we have always stated that we are ALL ministers, and therefore all part of the call - EKKLESIA - to serve and love our Church, neighbours and the community.

Our ministry teams are made up of 4 core parts of our Christian ministry:

  • Love

  • Worship

  • Learn

  • Witness

In order to carry out our mission and vision, every ministry has a team leader who is responsible for building the team and developing plans to carry out the mission.

The functions of these Ministry Teams are simple:  Leading people to be disciples of Jesus.

Love is at the core of the gospel and the ethos of what Grace is about.

Love Ministries are ministries that focus on the love and care of others.  They are about creating places of belonging and safety where people can learn to believe in Jesus, join others who are learning to behave like Him, and together become living examples of Him.

Our Care & Connections Pastor Tim Goertzen oversees Love Ministries.

If you would like to get involved in any of the following teams, please contact the office to find out how to connect in these areas:

  • Front Door Ministries

    • Welcome Centre

    • Front Door Greeters

    • Ushers

  • Soul Care Team

    • Visitations to shut-ins

  • Sunday Morning Coffee Hour / Fellowship

  • Seniors Fellowship

We desire to provide opportunities for you to worship God.  Elements of worship include Bible reading, prayer, communion, songs of praise, silence and service.  Whenever we gather at Grace, in large groups or small, we worship.

The Worship Ministries Leader oversees:

  • Worship Ministries Team (planning team)

  • Worship Teams

  • Media Team

To find out how you can participate in the Worship Ministries, contact the office.

Learning is the process of acquiring new or modifying existing knowledge, behaviours, skills, values or preferences about God, life and relationships.  God's Word is foundational to this whether we are deepening our relationship with Him, or discovering new truths about Him or equipping and supporting each other in service.

Learn Ministries takes on the responsibility of guiding:

  • Adult Learning

  • Youth Ministry Teams

  • Kids Ministry

Pastor Sean oversees this part of Grace's ministry.

A witness speaks and lives from personal experience of Jesus and His Gospel.  Witnesses share with others how Jesus has changed their lives and given them hope and a future.

The Witness Ministries Team Leader is Renee Klassen, who oversees:

  • Missions Team (planning/budgeting)

  • Partnerships

    • Pembina Valley Bible Camp

    • Winkler Bible Camp

    • Salem Home Foundation

    • The Bunker

  • Covenant Community Connections (Church Family Events)

  • Witness Teams

Although Management Ministries is not under the 4 core areas, it's imperative to include it as it enables Grace to fulfill its mission.  Hundreds of volunteers are involved in Grace's ministries and adequate support structures are necessary.

The Management aspect of our Church structure encompasses:

  • Custodial

  • Maintenance

  • Food Services Team

Our office administrator, Wendy Dunham, oversees the daily aspect of Management Ministries.
